"I will have what is rightfully mine! And these lands… BeLOnG tO mE!"
--- Queen Rabia, the Wrathful Darkness, to numerous local and foreign heroes opposing her during the climax of the Siege of the Crystal Empire.
The goddess of Primordial Darkness, Wrath, and Conquest, Rabia is the twin sister of Skotádi, the Darkness Primeval. Like many of her siblings, Rabia is a Fallen member of the Children of Erebus. Unlike her more peaceful twin, she was a wrathful, sadistic entity who drowned entire lands in darkness, leading to frequent clashes between her and Skotádi. Skotádi had confirmed that Rabia was among the Children of Erebus who tried killing her out of wickedness before the Grand Primevals personally intervened.
Rabia fled the slaying of her malevolent kin and ended up in the lands that became the Frozen North. She created the Umbrum, a race of eldritch, darkness-based horrors, and made the Frozen North their stomping grounds. She was later defeated by the first Crystal Empress, who sealed her and the Umbrum away in the Shadow Prison using the Crystal Heart. Unfortunately, her sealing did little to diminish her threat, only becoming more patient and cunning.
After many years of planning, Rabia pulled off a complex scheme to free herself and bring down the Crystal Empire that was built over her prison. She created King Sombra, exploiting his Umbrum nature and insecurities to slowly corrupt her then-innocent 'son' into becoming a brutal tyrant. When Princesses Celestia and Luna battled and killed Sombra, Rabia manipulated Sombra's colthood friend, Radiant Hope, into siding with the Umbrum, knowing her powerful healing magic would ensure Sombra’s resurrection.
However, Rabia didn't foresee Sombra's betrayal. Having long believed he was destined to become a monster, Sombra eventually learned otherwise and turned on his wicked 'mother', using the Crystal Heart to seal her away. He died due to the Crystal Heart's purifying power harming him, but was revived by it with a new body, making him the first benevolent, purified Umbrum in existence.
Enraged by Sombra's defiance, Rabia became one of Sombra's most persistent enemies, acting from the shadows until she was freed again. With divine aid from Skotádi herself, Sombra opposed Rabia, now seeing her as the abusive monster she truly is. While the exact circumstances are unknown, Sombra and Radiant Hope played important roles in Rabia's final defeat and death, her soul dragged off to face judgement in Nekelmu's Hell-Realms for her crimes.
(BI OOC: Codex Equus' portrayal of Rabia)
So Sonic 3 just played its first trailer at cinecom. Sadly not available to the public, but it sounds pretty cool from the descriptions given.
Both Zipp Storm and Rainbow Dash dresses in style.
Thanks for !
Hello
"All live under heaven, and all heaven live under us."
--- One of many sayings among the Alicorns of the Alicorn Civilization during its heyday.
Consisting of countless lesser Alicorn-controlled fiefs, realms, dominions, kingdoms, empires, pantheons, and other territories and organisations unified on a cultural, technological, magical, economic, political and military level, the Alicorn Civilization as a whole was one of the most (in)famous precursor civilizations predating Known History, with its rise and fall and the actions and deeds of even a few of its members have lasting impact upon the wider existence that reverberate to this day.
The scale of the Alicorn Civilization boggles the mortal mind: its territories stretched far beyond not only Equus but even its home galaxy, having colonised and conquered entire superclusters of galaxies beyond its original one in its original universe, as well as settling and establishing outposts in countless parallel universes and neighbouring planes of existence. With all Alicorns being ascendant gods, even ‘common’ Alicorns may possess magic and access to technologies which allow them to alter entire worlds, move suns and warp spacetime to their whims as well as the knowledge to use them, while constituent nations and the civilization could embark on grand projects which could completely remake entire galaxies. Countless mortal races both Equid and non-Equid, Equusian or non-Equusian had also been provolved or guided by the Alicorns at this time, with many Alicorns becoming revered and worshipped as not only divine patrons and protectors but progenitors of entire species and lesser civilizations.
All this and more made the Alicorn Civilization one of the greatest Equusian and Equid civilizations known in the present day. However, its greatness would not endure for eternity as many of its members believed, for its unmitigated success over tens of millions of years would plant seeds of corruption, stagnation and upheaval which would rot its foundations and pave the way for its (relatively) sharp, cataclysmic fall during the Twilight of the Alicorns.
