Pre-Production Party of Pony POV Last Battle As Hosted By Pinkie Pie

"Hmm, looks like when Variety Show me and this place split off from our universe, it left behind an empty shell in its place..." Pinkie Pie said looking around, she had expected to find an empty studio covered in dust that looked like it hadn't been used in years.

"Vat are vu doin' in my dance studio?" Hoofer Steps asked with her obvious Stalliongrad accent. Her cutie mark was a dance step pattern.

"And since time and space hates a vacuum, this place was retroactive bought by you and used to open your stand studio."

"Vat are vu even talking about?" Hoofer Steps asked, while relatively new to Ponyville, she already knew Pinkie Pie could be odd, but this was something else. "I still making payment Still finding students! Thinking bad idea to open dance studio here! Should have stayed tutor!"

"Oh don't worry, Ponyville's going to get a population boom starting in exactly 12 months. Buuuut... if I pay give you the bits for one of your payments... can I borrow your studio for a day?"

"I no wanting it back with broken windows and looking like pigs live here, insurance premiums not finished paying either."

"Hey! I Pinkie Pie Promise! You'll get it back in spick and span with no property damage or holes in the space time continuum!"

"Vat was that last-"

"Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Pinkie Pie handed Hoofer Steps the large bag of bits and shoved her out the door of her own studio.

Pinkie Pie waved at the camera.

Pinkie Pie, "Hi everypony. The Cutie Mark Crusaders Journal of the Unexplained is finished. Amicitia's Lightly Visits to Grimdark Worlds is finished. The author has finished organizing his notes. ... Technically he still has to finish that fighting tournament but that's looking less and less likely unless more ponies get interested in writing parts for it. And he still has to go through the TV Tropes to remind himself of a lot of stuff... geeze this stuff is way out of date in so many places, somepony outta update this things, no kidding." Pinkie Pie took a bottle of bottle, a fold out chair, and sat herself down in the brightly lit but otherwise empty studio.

"Well, here's the deal. This is the pre-production party for the series final. Once the first chapter begins writing, that's it. I'll have work to do. Just sent me letters, like we did in the old days on the variety show. Tell what stuff you want to see, and DON'T want to see in the final. Characters showing up and not showing up, stuff ponies will do and not do. Not saying what you suggest has absolute power over what will happen, it's doesn't but it'll be out there to be thought about by the author. Ponies you want to see more of, ponies you want to see less of. Stuff and ponies you think the author's overdone, and ponies and stuff he's underdone. Plot twists you think are unresolved, twists that are over-resolved. Just sent your letters to me, and share with everypony! And let get this done before Hoofer Steps comes back!"

Could you avoid monologuing in this? I have a hard time being able to tell how much of those speeches are your opinion or a window into the character who is saying it, there's the problem that Applejack has the Truth vision, or as I've come to refer it; "the win-the-argument button," (which leaves me wondering, why don't they use it? Well, besides the obvious out-of-story reasons.) and it often comes across to me as browbeating, which I'm guessing it was never your intent. (Though, I'll admit this depends more on how blunt things should or need to be, and it may very well be just me.)

I see no reason why Diamond Tiara would listen anyway. She could construe listening to anything they say as "letting them win". Heck, if she thinks of herself as a villain and therefore destined to lose, then wouldn't she want to make sure that when they win, it ends up being a pyrrhic victory. She has mind control powers, she just needs a megaphone to get a mass suicide (or to get very specific ponies off her back or a very distracting [for the princesses] rebellion.) to happen. Or loads of explosives, but more for the resulting collateral damage than to get rid off of any of her opponents.

A few (optional on your end) questions:
-Is there any reason why the CMC can't tell their sisters, then that result in the rest of the mane six and subsequently the princesses, followed by Diamond's family to catch wind of this and prepare?
-Speaking of which, how much information (up to and including but not limited to what's one side expecting the other to do.) should all sides have and how much of it should be wrong?
-Should Havoc's family have different goals from the mane six and the princesses?
-Should Sane Reality's family be a factor?
-If any of the members of the pantheon besides the princesses are a factor, should they use avatars or should they drop the disguise and hope that they can erase anyone's memories?
-Is there going to be a long and hard discussion after the fight is over?
-Also, the princesses hid from the entire population, the fact that their identities, lives, homes and families could be gone in a few moments. Is the lie they used going to be a factor on how this goes? If so, did they see that coming?
-Should the fight happen in the maze where it all started?

Dear Pinkie Pie,

I would like to see some actual interaction between Fluttershy, Fluttercruel and Discord and some acknowledgement of their... rather unique family situation. It would also be nice to see maybe a glimpse of what kinds of powers Fluttercruel got from her father's side if she got any, perferable her blasting him in the face.

I would also LOVE to see some more interaction between Twilight and Celestia, giving the Sun Goddess more time to shine and to show the deep student-motherly figure bond between them.

I would like if there would be a chance for the Elements of Harmony to show how much they have grown by having Discord throw some variation of the hedge maze at them and this time they actually beat it... only for Discord to have expected them to do so and he just used that to gain some time for his real next move.

I would like for Nightmare Diamond to finally reveal her true name, she did keep hiding that one for a very long time.

While Rarity has an emotional connection to Diamond Tiara, I would also like to see the others connections to Discord play at least some role, including the encounters some of them had with him in their previous lives like Twilight, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash.

It would be nice if Discord's ability to steal the Elements of Harmony (as in the items) would play a role in the final battle and actually would allow him to use that as a counter against their finishing attack, forcing them to come up with a way to prevent him from doing so before they can finish him.

While we are talking about that, it would be nice if there would be certain stages for the final battle like with Nightmare Eclipe (first she fought herself before bringing her friends in as support) or Queen Coccoon (first her grand bio weapon form before fighting with her super-powered Changeling Queen form), those usually give some nice structure to the battle.

Finally I would really love to see Discord go all out and utilize both his full powers and his skills at manipulation to their fullest, he is the true Big Bad of this series and deserves one final chance to show ALL of his strengths. This in turn forces the heroes to go beyond their limits and could result in a truly epic clash between the forces.

Have them do BETTER this time than they did the first time.

This story IS about characters growing and getting better over time.

Please note that I might be missing stuff in the following statements.

Don't wait in your home. In fact, get all of your friends and families out of their homes...  You could be unceremoniously blown up or your family (Heh, wonder if Discord would recognize Maud/Entropy,) could be taken hostage. (and if you have a large enough cardboard box, and a magical shrinking ray or know somepony who could provide that, add everypony in Equestria to that.)

I recall a timeline where Discord wouldn't get anywhere near the pond of truth, so there's a potential place of hiding, if needed. (Of course this is not considering if any other citizen of Equestria would be willing to fight their Mind-Rapist and his Mind-Rapist Nightfilly formerly in-training or could fight to begin with, or how things are from Discord's side of the battle.)

Also speaking of which, if the light reflected from the pond of truth induces... whatever the hell you call what Applejack saw, (hey, I can't call that omniscient-time-and-space-bending-visions-of-everywhere-everytime-and-everypony-who-exists-has-existed-or-will-exist,) What's there to stop you from redirecting the light reflected from there with magic? (A Truth Laser if you will.) How could that idea go wrong? (Somewhere Rota Fortuna is sneezing.)

I hope Discord doesn't turn you into clay and leaves you stranded in depths of the ocean. Possibly surrounded by spider-sharks... Trained in sky-fu or something... and armed with ocean-proof flamethrowers.

I look forward to finding out what's been up with Discord, why he's only been a voice in Diamond's head all this time.

Twilight and her friends should take center stage again, while the Crusaders get a well-earned rest.

It'd be nice to see the main timeline version of Gilda... but I know, a reintroduction like the Heart World trip to Griffonstone is more likely.  It'd be strange for Gilda to show up right at the finale, unless it's part of Diamond's plot somehow.  The Flim Flam brothers got a cameo in the rumors arc... maybe they'll show up again.

Hmm, what could Diamond have in mind that will be so dire that the Mane Six will be tempted to destroy her for it, when she doesn't actually want to win...

First, and most importantly renamed the title after ME. Ponies POV? How about Makarov POV? Much better isn't it? OF COURSE IT IS!
Show the world how I battled Entropy and robbed her of her domain.
Allow me to wipe out all the dragons but not before they burn half of equestia down so that I look even more impressive.
Mount the dragon queen's head as a trophy for all to see.
Her husband may stay alive and when this kindness get rejected, kill him too.
Marry Princess Cadance. The wedding must be perfect!
Kill Shining Armor in a duel.
Epic fight with Mortis and after winning let me drag Shining Armor back to the mortal realm where he will have the honor of being my slave for eternally.
Rename the country, universe, mulitverse after myself.
Neuter the blank wolf/puppy. Then eat him SLOWLY.
Banish Pandora inside a tiny locked up box, and throw the key into a blackhole. Her kingdom of "imagination" will of course belong to me.
Seal that fool Discord into a statue again. Have her daughter join him too.

Dear Pinkie Pie,

I still have quite a few misgivings about Fluttercruel becoming separate from Fluttershy as a result of Apple Bloom's Cosmic Retcon. I feel like it takes away a lot of what made their situation so unique and special. It'd be one thing if something happened in the story that led to this happening, but for it to be retconned so that it's always been that way? That still bothers me.

A paper airplane flew out of a small portal.  It looped lazily around the studio once before lodging point-first in Pinkie’s mane, making her giggle.  Pinkie grabbed the letter before it could sink fully into the fun cotton candy world of her mane and get lost for days, and then she unfolded it and began to read.

“Hi there!  Alisa is thinking, and she has the greatest idea for a super finale plot twist!  All hero ponies in pony town are secretly wolves in disguise!  Wolves all think it’s a big secret, cause they don’t know that all their pony friends are secretly wolves too!  Boss Alpha Apple Wolfpup says, “Oh, I made a big mistake fixing world!  We’ll just have to live with it.”  Won’t Diamond nightpuppy and smelly big bad Discord be surprised?

“Alisa would send extra pony suits to help, but she isn’t sure how.  Magic box made by Flim Flam ponies only has a letter slot.  But all wolves in Icehome will be watching the magic box and playing rowdy drinking game while they cheer you on!"

The letter was “signed” with a paw print… stamped onto the letter with disappearing ink.

P.S. Please consider other ways Discord could take the elements besides teleporting them out of a box. (Then again it's been proven by the fight with Nightmare Whisper that your friends don't need the elements to call upon their power, but if Chrysalis could petrify Diamond, who most certainly is an bearer of an element of chaos, [Well, I think so,] chances are so can the elements. Though it also petrified on Nightmare Moon [Ask Amicitia or Applejack/Reconstruction] on another timeline because she refused to repent, if I'm remembering that right.) Like using a proxy, or making Celestia start sleepwalking, (with all the potentially-horrifying implications that idea could raise) or teleport the ponies instead of the elements and then take them. (Though, if he put them all in a deep but small hole [complete with teeth and a tongue made of spaghetti or peppermint candy or something else] and any of them went into it, it'd be like shooting fish in a barrel, except that they can't dodge.)

Pinkie Pie looked at her non-existent watched. "Production begins tomorrow. Any traits of your favorite characters you want us to keep in mind? Any characters you feel have been too ignored? At any rate, production begins tomorrow."

Another letter appeared before Pinkie Pie. She opened it sand read:

"From the Shadow that brought in the Ponysuits and that whole Invasion-from-Tartarus thing that almost for Celesta killed and unleashed Morning Star: please remember that Twilight Sparkle is a forgiving and gentle pony, and thus not likely to seek revenge on innocents, be they ponies or Shadows."

Pinkie blinked and looked off to the side. "Hey, Twilight! I finally got that one address you keep asking me about!"

Reading the last letter, Pinkie Pie was surprised when she found a trap door in the floor of the studio that hadn't been there before. She opened it up, found a spiral staircase underneath, and followed them down, the trap door closing behind her. Pinkie Pie's props vanished. Hoofer Steps entered her studio, to find the pink pony was gone. She didn't question this, knowing Pinkie Pie came and went as she pleased, and was relieved just to have her studio back.

Pinkie Pie went down the spiral staircase, floating lights around her, unsure if they were distant stars or nearby fireflies. Went she reached the bottom, she wasn't sure if she was on ground or floor. She saw a fire in the distance, she followed it, and began to hearing the chirping crickets.

She saw pine trees around her, which made her slightly confused. She then came upon a camp site clearing, with logs set about a traditional camp fire. There was a blue pegasus stallion nearby with greenish blue eyes, and a purple mane. His cutie mark was a camp fire with a ring of rocks around it. He had a type writer in front of him. Flanking him were piles of notes that were almost taller than he was, nearly boxing him in. One looked like a pile for events, and another for characters.

"Hello." Pinkie Pie said politely. "Who are you? And why is there a forest at night in the basement? Am I dreaming? Is this where Princess Luna pops up and tells me to stop eating nachos before bed again?" She looked at his cutie mark. "Your special talent is camping?"

"Story-telling, or... I'd like to pretend it was .... I can't get started... It's too much... it's gotten too big... it was never meant to take this long, never meant to get this big... There's too many... Too many traits, too many threads between characters, I can't keep track of them all, not like this, it's too many... Too many connections, too many traits, too many lessons, too many growths... no pony can keep track of them all... I'm doomed."
