Most deconstructions, IMHO, miss the point of what they were deconstructing.
The trope page has the Valiant Episode of DS9 described as a deconstruction of the Death Star battle, where the lone ship tries to exploit the weakness of the enemy's new super weapon, and in the deconstruction not only does it not work, but everyone but the two regular cast and one other get killed. ... This overlooks that Luke was part of a squadron! More than one! And Luke's entire squadron except for Wedge was killed in the attempt (and Wedge only lived because he backed off because his weapon was out)! And Luke ALREADY had training as a pilot, and admitted that he'd practiced on shooting small targets at high speed before.
Also, a lot of writers who have mocked the illogic of the Death Star being made to withstand a large scale assault and therefore one tiny plane could slip through don't UNDERSTAND what was actually meant by that! The Death Star was designed to handle an assault by capital ships! That's what the commander meant when he said "otherwise they'd have a tighter defense!" The Death Star's guns were simply too bulky and too sluggish to aim at quick tiny targets because they thought they'd be firing at capital ships! (Rather like what happens when a battleship made for ship to ship combat goes up against aircraft carrier's squadron).
And Section 31, I feel, MISSES THE POINT of Star Trek, the idea that humans can and should be able to become better than we are and what we're capable of if we DO become better than we are. (Ironically Section 31 itself gets deconstructed in the expanded itself, as a counter conspiracy forms The Kirk Cabal, to keep the organization in check, while having an organization that is answerable to no one is a breeding ground for the next Kahn!)
And of course, Taste of Armageddon, the entire POINT of the story was what happens when you have a society as Kirk puts it, having made war so neat and painless there's been no reason to stop it, even as people's virtual death are calculated, informed, and then march to their real deaths. So Kirk reminds them of the ugly actual side of war, and as Kirk puts it, "I think you'll find the other side is a terrified of an ACTUAL war as you are." And remember, Kirk entire ship had been registered as a casualty as well, so yes, he violated the prime directive to save his entire crew from being mass executed. And the 'deconstructed' narrative then has the two planet blow each other up anyway. Which I feel misses the entire point of the original episode.
And Mirror Spock, oh boy. For some reason, Emperor Spock thought it was a good idea to completely dismantle his entire military when surrounded on all sides by enemies. Spock isn't that stupid.
The writers outright said they were deconstructing the original episode. Of course later episodes in the mirror verse say screw that, and went to humans and other oppressed species trying to overcome their dictators. (Ironically, one of the works had mirror Eddington become the first head of the 'Galactic Commonwealth' after the Alliance was no more and it was ultimately decided NOT to rebuild the Terran Empire).

Re: X-Men MCU, taking bets
Taking bets. If Cyclops' father shows up in X-Men, how much money you wanna bet that his wife didn't die at the hands of ghoulish Shi'ar scientists? Or isn't dead at all?
Eto Rangers 5
Eto Rangers 5 Opens with Dog and Monk debating which came first the chicken or the egg. They decide to go to the source and ask Tart (Chicken). She defends that she not just a chicken, but THE Chicken, of course she knows. Then they get called in for a mission, saved by the bell. When they learn the story world this time is the ugly duckling, the rest of the team pick the conflict ball. The team makes awkward comments towards Tart about her appearance. This time it's Mouse (is this guy gonna be on every mission? Can't we have someone else for a change? I know he's the hero of this tale, but it's meant to be a TEAM EFFORT!). Snake. Tart (of course). Pig (FINALLY!). And Bull. Once story side, the conflict ball is bounced around, as their less than pleasant landing leads to Bakamaru(Mouse) making remarks about Tart's big rear. Dr. Snake, "There are things you don't say to a lady." Bull, "But I was just being honest!" (Poor Bull.) Tart goes off in a huff. The team
Eto Rangers episode 4
Eto Rangers episode 4. W're allowed to see the heroes goofing off as they wait to arrive at the next story world. Monkey, Sheep, and Rabbit are eating ice scream. Dog, Tiger, Horse, and Dragon are enjoying green tea. Snake, Horse, and Mouse are drinking coffee... Mouse finds he HATES the taste. And Pig and Chicken are playing a guess game of which color will zoom by next in hyper space. That's right, they actually acknowledge the colorful lines dramatically going passed the ship!!! Next story is the Tortoise and the Hare. Naturally Rabbit is not a fan. Kirin, "Like it or hate it, doesn't matter." And... Mouse (again), Rabbit (again), Monkey (second time in three adventures), Dragon (previous called in for back up last episode), and Dog (second time in three adventures). Poor Pig. Guy doesn't get any love. Remember, in Japanese folklore, Dogs and Monkeys don't get along. Kirin again tell them "Like each other, or hate each other, doesn't mater, don't make keep saying
How has trade mark changed?
How has trade mark changed? The name of the rabbit character in Eto Rangers? IT'S CREAM!!! And this show was made in 1995! And Sonic's Cream the Rabbit came out in Sonic Advanced 2 in 2002! 7 years apart. Meanwhile, Friendship is Magic repeatedly had to change character names due to not having the trademark for those names anymore (I find it every kind of disturbing that you can trademark someone's NAME! Ask the poor McDonalds' brothers if you think it only applies to fictional characters.) Given how copyright sue happy people are in the US of A... yeah.

I always thought the biggest problem with the Death Star was that the Empire did rush things and didn't surround their shiny new weapon with enough back-up like Star Destroyers and endless numbers of Tie Fighters.
They actually do much better in the third movie when they actually are smart enough to have Star Destroyers and endless numbers of Tie Fighters nearby. They even got that effective shield ready... only to be defeated by Ewoks.
