S6E15MLP commentary spoilers
I just want to say, the opening, shows that we're somehow dealing with SEASON ONE Rainbow Dash and SEASON ONE Fluttershy rather than season 6 RD and Fluttershy! In particular when it was Pinkie Pie who explained to Rainbow Dash that pranking Fluttershy was off limits since she'd take it the wrong way. This makes this feel like a season 1 episode that they lost the script for, and then found and updated it for season 6.
That is all.
Yeah, this is definitely season one Rainbow Dash.
When did we see the filly scout uniforms before? They look way too similar to fanon stuff I've seen to be random chance. So when did we see the filly scouts uniforms before in the show?
Why isn't Sweetie freaking out at the cake? So the cake itself isn't a prank? And Sweetie, just use magic And Pinkie replaced her sewing machine with a cake? But where is her REAL sewing machine jerk?
"You really think Rainbow Dash is going to prank you in your sleep?" Season 1 RD? YES!!!! I see RD made use of Pinkie Pie's off screen teleporting.
Pranking CRANKY?! How stupid can you get!?!
I think RD is gonna have a long walk with Celly. How and did RD get that rock on Big Mac's track to begin with?
OW! A brick in a sandwich? HOW IS THAT CLEVER?!
Seriously, this is the 'Impractical Joker' from My Little Pony Tales. This is Patch, not Rainbow Dash.
Okay. Logic dictates this is a counter-prank, except how did Pinkie Pie get all her colors discorded like that?
And RD using the CMC as pawns? That's just bad taste. And are the CMC the only filly-scouts in Ponyville?
Spike is still a dragon at heart. And sorry I don't have much to say this episode, like I said, it feels like a S1 or S2 episode that got lost in time.
And shouldn't this episode be airing around Halloween instead?
And baby zombies. To be honest, nice to see an unholy plague that doesn't magically pretend kids don't get sick. (Even I'm still betting on this being a counter-prank).
Ya know, this is a parody of the Yoshi Cookies commercial for the NES. Or that's what it is to me.
And I suspect this is a counter-prank, because RD DIDN'T assume this was a counter-prank! That's always the biggest sign. In MLPTs, I think the writers did a better job because Patch's friends set up a decoy-prank ahead of time so Patch would fall for the second one and plus they played to Patch's weaknesses (such as wanting to believe UFOs were real).
Also notice how the zombies didn't stop for the cookies?
The 'and Rarity was a zombie' is a standard-issue horror movie twist.
Okay, I get the whole 'grand trick by the whole town to teach RD a lesson' motif. (I never liked this motif because way too much can go wrong, way too much can backfire on its own way, since it ALL relies on the person in question always acting exactly the way you want them to, and people aren't robots, RD might have panicked and called in the Guard, or gone crazy with shame and run off into the Everfree never to return). But how did they make themselves look sickly? Or was that supposed to be RD's fear addled mind?
This does NOT feel like Mare-Do-Well 2.0, because Mare-Do-Well? RD was ENDANGERING ponies' LIVES with her 'grandstanding BEFORE saving the ponies' and so Mare-Do-Well had to step in. This episode? This feels over the top to get her a lesson.
Scootaloo was in on it? Geeze.
The MORAL I can appreciate, (Not everyone enjoys pranks, and you're just being selfish if you don't care if who you're pranking is just the butt of your joke), but the placement in the series could epically use some work (seriously, season 1 or 2 would have worked better with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy's character development.) And Rainbow Dash SEEMS to be going the Patch route of not actually learning her lesson... but then since broadcast standards have changed since then, they have RD learn the lesson after all.
I'm neutral on this episode.

Re: X-Men MCU, taking bets
Taking bets. If Cyclops' father shows up in X-Men, how much money you wanna bet that his wife didn't die at the hands of ghoulish Shi'ar scientists? Or isn't dead at all?
Eto Rangers 5
Eto Rangers 5 Opens with Dog and Monk debating which came first the chicken or the egg. They decide to go to the source and ask Tart (Chicken). She defends that she not just a chicken, but THE Chicken, of course she knows. Then they get called in for a mission, saved by the bell. When they learn the story world this time is the ugly duckling, the rest of the team pick the conflict ball. The team makes awkward comments towards Tart about her appearance. This time it's Mouse (is this guy gonna be on every mission? Can't we have someone else for a change? I know he's the hero of this tale, but it's meant to be a TEAM EFFORT!). Snake. Tart (of course). Pig (FINALLY!). And Bull. Once story side, the conflict ball is bounced around, as their less than pleasant landing leads to Bakamaru(Mouse) making remarks about Tart's big rear. Dr. Snake, "There are things you don't say to a lady." Bull, "But I was just being honest!" (Poor Bull.) Tart goes off in a huff. The team
Eto Rangers episode 4
Eto Rangers episode 4. W're allowed to see the heroes goofing off as they wait to arrive at the next story world. Monkey, Sheep, and Rabbit are eating ice scream. Dog, Tiger, Horse, and Dragon are enjoying green tea. Snake, Horse, and Mouse are drinking coffee... Mouse finds he HATES the taste. And Pig and Chicken are playing a guess game of which color will zoom by next in hyper space. That's right, they actually acknowledge the colorful lines dramatically going passed the ship!!! Next story is the Tortoise and the Hare. Naturally Rabbit is not a fan. Kirin, "Like it or hate it, doesn't matter." And... Mouse (again), Rabbit (again), Monkey (second time in three adventures), Dragon (previous called in for back up last episode), and Dog (second time in three adventures). Poor Pig. Guy doesn't get any love. Remember, in Japanese folklore, Dogs and Monkeys don't get along. Kirin again tell them "Like each other, or hate each other, doesn't mater, don't make keep saying
How has trade mark changed?
How has trade mark changed? The name of the rabbit character in Eto Rangers? IT'S CREAM!!! And this show was made in 1995! And Sonic's Cream the Rabbit came out in Sonic Advanced 2 in 2002! 7 years apart. Meanwhile, Friendship is Magic repeatedly had to change character names due to not having the trademark for those names anymore (I find it every kind of disturbing that you can trademark someone's NAME! Ask the poor McDonalds' brothers if you think it only applies to fictional characters.) Given how copyright sue happy people are in the US of A... yeah.

Something that COULD perhaps work for WHY Dash might have gone a bit overboard with the pranks...
She IS a Wonderbolt now, which would REQUIRE her to constantly be serious and work really hard. It's probably adding a bit of stress to her.
While Rainbow IS dedicated, I could imagine this all be her trying to relax and unwind and just let it go way too far. That interpretation would at least EXPLAIN why she's suddenly going too far like this.
