Pony POV Series World Building Dragon Sneeze Trees

Equestrian historians have noted that the Dragon Sneeze Trees just HAPPENED to evolve seemingly overnight after Queen Tiamat drove the plant Dragon's Bane to extinction...

Perhaps as a 'buck you' to Queen Tiamat by either Mother Dear/Princess Gaia by Proxy and/or Strife: Princess Gaia to keep dragons from crushing the other civilizations, and/or Strife to keep the dragons from getting cocky.

The question is raised if they existed before, the deer's war with the dragons should have been VERY different. But as bizarre as their spontaneous evolution, dragon sneeze trees in the entire empire mysterious died, wouldn't sprout, and/or vanished when the war with the dragons started. Many have suggested the deer's own goddess was involved in the strange vanishing of the dragon sneeze trees when this plant would have made the greatest difference. And any that were just taken from outside... would be lost or die before they could be put to use.

Like Dragon's Bane before it, the existence of the Dragon Sneeze Trees is something that keeps Queen Tiamat's children in check, and something to keep Queen Tiamat and Lord Bahamut THEMSELVES in check.

Many believe a treaty of sorts exists between Queen Tiamat and Princess Celestia that Dragon Sneeze Trees are to be used purely as a defensive measure.

In fact BURNING a dragon sneeze tree causes its pollen/spores/seeds to spread EVERYWHERE, rendering a dragon's natural means of disposing of them quite counter productive.

After Applejack had a vision of a war with the dragons when looking into Truth, Princess Luna order the growing and planting of the trees in certain locations... but given the status and existence of Equestria's number one dragon and member of the Sparkle family, this has been slow going and discreet. Even more so by the existence of Dragon Town... something that did not exist in Princess Luna's age. She's had to deal with not accidentally insulting dragons who have become curious about pony civilization enough to 'try it out.'

But given the rules of possession among dragons is as follows: 'want, take, have' (which Tiamat fully approves of) this isn't an improper precaution that even Tiamat begrudgingly admits to.

That being said, Princess Luna looking into the pool of truth has shown her that Dragon Sneeze Trees are likely what actually STOPPED the dragon war seen in AJ's flash forward from ever happening!!!!

Queen Tiamat herself isn't immune to them, in hushed whispers around Equestria, it's said the only time she has ever truly been humiliated since gaining her full power, is were some dragon sneeze trees managed to give three of her five heads head-colds! Her sneezes rendering her earth dragons working overtime to rebuild her lair. (This is also likely when Lord Bahamut established a separate personal lair somewhere at the bottom of the ocean whose location is unknown to any save the dragon gods most trusted children.)
